This is the lounger size manual recliner sofa from Sherborne from the Dakota collection. It's width is just a little less than most 3 seater sofas so could be regarded as a large 2 seater sofa or a 2.5 seater settee.
It has a manual action which can be operated with either a lever or an inset catch. Each side of the sofa reclines independently to the opposite one. This sofa has a contemporary design which is highlighted by the padded arms, two part high back cushion and angular straight clean lines.
The action is easy to use, simply release it whilst sat in the recliner seat and the footplate will sweep up behind the back of the users legs to lift & support them creating an ideal position for watching TV or reading. To further recline move deeper into the recliner whilst pushing into the inside back of the recliner and then the back will lower. The position of the back can be regulated by adjustment to the position of the user and therefore the centre of their weight. To return to a normal seated position simply sit forwards which will allow the back of the recliner to return to upright, and then sweep the footplate back into position with the back of the legs.
