This is the Sherborne Cartmel manual recliner chair. It features a chaise seating design which provides a full support running from the seat to the end of the footplate. As well as this there are lateral back cushions which run vertically on either side of the inside back and help to keep a central seating position.
The manual reclining action is easy to control. Simply release the footplate mechanism with either the inset catch or handle and the footplate will release and lift the users legs. This creates an ideal position for either reading or watching TV. To further recline move deeper into the recliner whilst pushing into the inside back of the recliner and then the back will lower. The position of the back can be regulated by adjustment to the position of the user and therefore the centre of their weight. To return to a normal seated position simply sit forwards which will allow the back of the recliner to return to upright, and then sweep the footplate back into position with the back of the legs.
